Some pictures from my way to work. Spring is coming back. Such a great feeling and I can’t wait to be outdoor again. It’s funny that every year it feels almost the same: winter was too long and I can’t really remember what summer feels like.…
Our neighborhood is really nice and calm but still close to everything. A small heaven for Nikita. Really looking forward to spring and summer. All this darkness and rain can be a bit depressing. ;)

Between the years we stayed in Berlin, met a lot of friends and had some really good asian food. The city was quite empty. On those days it feels like most people who live there are from other cities or abroad.

I have been following Tamara Lichtenstein on “Flickr” for a long time now. She has such a nice and inspiring fresh style. She is one of the persons where I think, she is so talented and will have a huge career. You better follow her to see what she will do next. I was so happy for her when I saw that she did pictures for Converse. In my opinion that is what makes Converse so special. They pick the right people for the right positions. I like that the pictures are not that polished and totally respresent the target group. Well done Tamara!

At the moment I’m working as a freelance Creative Director for a german retailer that is not located in Hamburg. So I’m in Hamburg just on the weekends. One of the best features of Hamburg is the distance to the seaside. It’s really close and great for some quality time! So nice to just spend some time there. Hope you had a nice weekend aswell!

Yesterday we took a ride to Echo Park close to the Dodger Stadium and checked out the district we earlier just passed by accident. It was really relaxed with a lot of nice cafes, stores and restaurants. We would have never thought we’d find a place like this so close to downtown. Sevda says it reminds her of Williamsburg “in the beginning”. Ein großes “HALLO” auch an Oma Else! ;-) Uns geht es gut! I guess today we will check out Long Beach and check out the seals in Seal Beach. Thanks everyone for the tips and thanks to the Mishka Store for having us! PROST!

No, winter in Hamburg is not fancy! We were out for a walk with “Katha” and Marcel. I rather like it cold and a lot of snow than warm and not raining. But that’s not the Hamburg winter. Nope! We have got ice and wet snow. It is was nice to go out anyway. It makes you appreciate being inside on a sofa… ;-) More pictures after the jump.…
During the stress about our new design, we totally forgot the blog birthday. I can’t believe it. The blog is really 2 years old now. We started with some pictures and graphics, just stuff that influences our daily life. It’s still like that but in a more worked out way, I would say. Our blog is still our private playground where we do and write about stuff that we honestly like. The last few months we did a lot of shootings for our blog on a really “low end” level. But it was fun to do it and we hopefully will be able to continue doing this the upcoming months. It’s a lot of work and we hope that you like it. We recently observed that a lot of blogs that started about the same time as we did are disappearing from the scene. I totally understand it since we often ask ourselves “why do we blog? is it really worth it? does someone really read the texts?,…..?” We are both online people by heart and we do believe in the future of it. So let’s step into the next year of blogging. Thank you for following and sharing your …

The first months in Hamburg where really stressful because we had to work and build up our life in Hamburg again. It’s was an unspectular summer. The weather became bad quickly. We had no barbeque, no camping, no seaside time. Really bad! The good point was we were able to do some amazing shootings. We are a bit surprised by the early snow this year. Since november we have snow in Germany. Hihi, that was one of the reasons we moved back from Stockholm back to Hamburg -to get rid of all that snow. That’s not fair. But ok, then we had some more time for indoor events like gallery events and concerts. We totaly forgot to do some videos. Such a shame! A good friend of us said, she is starting the next year with no big plan like moving to another city or starting something new. I feel a bit the same. Perhaps that’s the new Generation X feeling. But may be not really since I’m always hoping for the best and that’s not typical for the new grunge! ;) So let’s go with huge steps into the new year and let’s see what …
I like behind the scenes pictures since they show nothing but the truth. The truth is that Leslie is a non-smoker and Nikita is a camera b*tch, who wants to sit in the front of the camera all the time and we are really just to persons who are deal with just about everything. ;) But hell yeah, we always have a lot of fun. That’s the reason we put up with this hustle everytime. ;)

You might know “Kimberley of ANC” from a former shooting in summer. She is a really gorgeous girl and easy to work with. So we went down to a famous hairdresser salon here on St. Pauli. I love the Elvis interior. ;) It totally fits with some of the “H&M Spring Collection” items.

Unfortunately we missed the last show in Stockholm so it was good news to read that Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth would play just around the corner at Grünspan. Too bad we were only allowed to shoot during the first three tracks, so we couldn’t get Pete Rock behind the mic playing classics like TROY and Straighten It Out. Next time! ;-)

Isn’t that cute? I totaly love this picture of Jan Delay. On saturday we went with our weekend guests “Rachel” and Eric to the exhibition “Hamburger Gesichter” at the “Vicious Gallery“. “Thomas Koch” illustrated Hamburg faces for a benifit project. If you need to see more illustration you need to go to the next event. You can bet on the illustrations of Fatih Akin, Jan Delay, Udo Lindenberg, Das Bo, Cosma Shiva Hagen on the december 10th 2010 at the Terrace Hill.
