Nas – I know I can

Ok ok, it was Nas and Damian Marley but Nas was my first love… Our love was a bit, let’s say colder the last couple of years since he missed showing up at the Splash Festival a few years ago. So I thought our love is over until he came up with his new album with Damian Marley that Philipp is always listening to. So we joined the nice concert yesterday! NAS I LOVE YOU!

Dead Prez Concert

Now we have been in Hamburg a few days and yesterday we went to our first concert in quite a while, Dead Prez at Waagenbau. The place was crowded and the crowd crazy as hell. It felt a bit like standing in a finish sauna with sweat dripping from the roof. It’s bigger than…

Deutsch-Rap Vergangenheit

After picking up my diploma at Berghs SoC including the the last dinner with my fellow students, we met up with Rahel and Eric at Galleri Kleerup to see the Delta Exhibition. Funny how history can bring people back together again. Rap verbindet! Ne Anna!? ;-) Cold beer and great graphics before we went on to Strand for a few more. Always fun to see how different clubnights can be. Or have you ever seen people play ping-pong aka “Rundlauf” in a club? Still have to smile when I think about it…

Rugged Man in Town

Last week we were at the Jedi Mind Tricks concert at Debaser Medis right around the corner of our “new” home on Södermalm. Luckily RA the Rugged Man was featured so it was well worth a visit. Since we were there mostly to see him perform, we didn’t get that many pics on the Jedi Minds, sorry! ;-) The place was really crowded and it was good to see some things are still alive, even this far up north. But please dear Swedes: Please learn how to handle the alcohol. Y’all drink one beer and get really nuts… Prost,

Don't call it a comeback

It feels like we have never been away. Yesterday we had a tuff program! After a flight from Stockholm to Hamburg at noon, a great christmas dinner at “Ă–z Antep” we first went to Mirko Machine‘s aka Santa’s “Flavour of the Month” at GrĂĽner Jäger. Later we dropped in at Buzz-T‘s and Mixwell‘s Jeudi-Party at Baalsaal. Thanks for great sounds, a lot of headbangin’ and plenty of drinks! A bit hungover we went to the movies today and watched “Avatar” in 3D. Awesome! Go and see the movie if you can! Another tip is “Where the wild things are” that we watched a few days ago. Two really great movies that definitely are worth watching in the cinema. Now some sofa-time and a nice glass of red wine. ;-)

Disposable Arts

Yesterday we were at our first rap concert here in Stockholm at Ljunggren! With a line-up consisting of Masta Ace, Edo G and last but not least Akrobatik, it was close to the best start we could have. Thank you guys for a great show and a lot of songs bringing that good spirit to Stockholm. Here are some impressions from the evening. My head still hurts, there is something strange with that swedish beer…

Glacéau Vitaminwater Launch Party

Yesterday, Philipp and I were at the “Glacéau Vitaminwater Launch Party” with “The Misshapes“. It was not allowed to take photos inside the location. I think it was because some “real” swedish celebrities were at the party ;) But since we don’t know them ;) we can’t tell you who was there ;) But all the other bloggers where there. Some outlaws took some pictures so if you wanna see what was up there, have a look at “Rodeo“, “People” and “StockholmStreetStyle“. I have known you for a while

… but you haven’t been been so nice to me until now, Hamburg! Since we are living in Stockholm, I notice more and more what a cool place Germany is. It was a slow process but people from all over the world like you more and more. In Stockholm you see people with “PLUS-Jutebeutel”, “Atomkraft Nein Danke-Button” and “Tokio Hotel-Shirt”. “Tokio Hotel“, like them or not, but they represent a whole generation from all over the world. Almost like “The Who” or “The Beatles“. Hey, that’s not so bad for a band from the middle of nowhere in eastern Germany! ;) Germany is cool and got it’s own style. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or not, it’s more about creativity and who you are. It’s nice to walk through the streets and see so many different things living in symbiosis. I like it and I miss it! People from Germany, don’t be so absolute and do not say: Deutschland is ja voll scheisse (Germany is totaly weak), because that is not true! Germany, you have style, more than you think! And my personal tribute to the person who did the “Welt…

Auf dem Rapfilm hängengeblieben

Hip-Hop is so uncool, especially the German one. Electronica forever! Fuck it! You always got to filter the good from the bad! So why be lazy these days? There is still a lot of good stuff out there. Yesterday, “Lynn“, Philipp and I were at the “Weekday – Stine Goya Release Party“. It’s really strange to go to these kind of partys. It’s like walking through the internet, because you see all the bloggers that you that know from their blogs. ;) So you are standing there and next to you is sitting, let’s say “The Kid from Rodeo“. I really love her pictures and it’s one of my favorite blogs. You see Daniel and Caroline of “StockholmStreetStyle” at work and there is “Filippa” crossing you. Funny. The list would be to long to write everyone. Just check your reader to see who also was there. By the way, I like the “Stine Goya for Weekday Collection.

We had a really nice start at the “Popaganda” yesterday, even though Philipp did not feel so good. Everyone is kind of sick in Stockholm right now, so we didn’t stay that long. The “Lykkle Li” show was really fantastic and “Steve Aoki” rocked the crowd from the first second of his set. I didn’t know that “Lykkle Li” is that famous in sweden. But we noticed a few funny things for “continental-europeans” ;)

Don’t get that wrong, cause we like to live here but we have to write it down ;)

  • Everything needs a line. No matter what, get a number and wait. That was the first thing I learned in sweden. Be patient. For a festival that means:
a really long line for the toilett, I mean a really long line, maybe about 150 meters.
  • For the beer there was also a line with a line barrier like at the airport. ;)
  • You can pay your beer with a creditcard
  • You have to show your ID to get in the beerarea. ;) Yeah, right! There is a
