Right around the corner from the place we usually stay during our visits in NYC you will find the “House of Vans“. Just a little sign outside marks this great spot. We were always wondering what’s up with this place. On thursdays there were always a lot of people standing in front of this nice building. So we decided to walk in. Wow, we didn’t expected such a huge venue in the middle of nowhere . If you are visiting NYC, make sure that you check out this spot in case you want to join a great party. Maybe you have the chance to see bands like Turbonegro for free. All you need to do is sign up for the guestlist. …

I remember this shot like it was a second ago. Williamsburg at it’s best. So simple and NYC like. By the way: to me, blue is a great color for brunettes. …

PARTY! There is no better place to go out than NYC. Even for us who are not really in party fever all the time. We totally like the concept of PS1 which no belongs to the MoMa. On a daytime party, great international acts like Floating Point play in the heart of Queens in the huge backyard of the PS1 building. While partying you are also able to visit the whole museum with a great exhibitions of young artists. The crowd is wild and consists of a great mix of people who are simply interested in parting and/or art.
Just a few blocks away from the place we stayed at in Williamsburg Park was this great open air area with tons of great concerts. We visited Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings for free(!). Simply a great idea on how to use the waterfront area of Williamsburg to make sure that there still is free access to the Williamsburg Waterfront and the area stays alive.
PS: The night before, Jane’s Addiction and Die Antwoord had a gig there.…

Since a week, we have more than 30 degrees. Totally crazy.

Here come our last impressions from beautiful New York. We really miss it a lot. The dirty subway, Greenpoint Alleys, small stores with just well designed products, healthy food, unhealthy food, individuality, progress, minimalism, style, attitude & differentiality, just to name a few. See you soon!
