We had a really good time at the Berlin Fashion Week. We met good old friends, we met new friends and we became new friends with a lot of nice people. Thank you all for the great time in Berin. We really enjoy spending time with you. See you next time.
One love.

I was a bit surprised at the “Blacky Dress” runway show. I kind of liked it the collection. The problem with the show was more the kind of presentation. I didn’t like the cast and styling. In another context I think I would like it more. Imagine the collection with edgy and great styled models. I think we would get more into/out of it.
For me “Black Dress” is the perfect example for the “Image is everything” thing.
Right?

It felt like everyone was waiting for the runway show of “Hien Le” who was born in Laos and is living in Berlin right now.
Since last year he has been presenting his stuff at the Collect-Showroom. Also this year I had the chance to get a little preview of the collection before the show.
“Hien Le” has been following his red thread ever since he has been presenting his stuff. His really clean cuts and really good color arrangements are so good and outstanding at the same time.
Some people would say: “That’s too simple.” I have to disagree. Sometimes the simplest thing is the best and hardest thing to do, because it has to be perfect. His stuff is like that, just perfect.

The first show that I visited was “Lena Hoschek” from Austria. Lena Hoschek is famous for her 50′s style and her understanding/positioning of the rockibilty scene. No wonder that a huge bunch of well dressed people were around. I’m not so into that kind of style but I think that she really deserves to show her stuff at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin. She is different in her own way without being “too underground”. Also her choice of picking the models shows her way finding the balance for a commercial positioning. I saw the same faces that almost everybody in Germany knows. ;)

I felt like I had to post the pictures of the installation of “Rebekka Ruétz” before I post other stuff. I loved the design and colors of the items. She used nice fabrics and every piece is made with extreme love for detail. I also loved the look of the models. Nice work.
