H&M Blogger workshop output II

For the second outfit we chose a lightened background. The link to the theme “Indian meets Jeans” was the poncho. We liked the golden accessories because it gives the outfit the special modern edge that we were looking for. I think it’s nice way to break the theme.
We felt that all the other accessories wouldn’t fit at this stage.

We wanted to make a grid and break it again in a way that the whole look would still fit togehter. I just love the look.
I love the leather shorts. For me it is one of the keyitems for the next season. What I love about the jeans shirt is the way we put up the collar. I’m not sure if I would wear it like this in a daily way, but for the picture it looks perfect to me.
Thank you Bente for being such a great model.

H&M Blogger workshop output

Philipp and I joined a group with Anjelica and Josie. The task was to shoot pictures with a specific theme and a model. Our group was to shoot “Indian meets Jeans” which was kind of nice.

We decided to show the diversity of styles while styling the model. From the beginning it was important to us that our model shouldn’t look like this usual sterotype of H&M. We wanted to be a bit more modern.

To me it is the bigger challenge to create something that doesn’t look like H&M but still being young and modern.

So we picked picked this jumpsuit and the jeansshirt from the Fall 2011 Collection. Both items aren’t that breath taking to me but in the combination they simply are amazing. There is just this little hint about the theme, which I really like.

It is not that obvious and modern at the same time. Of course we had the chance the pick feathers, necklaces and bracelets that would have fit perfectly. But we felt that we could be simpler and reduce the whole look a bit.

Hair & makeup was simple and nude, because it fits best for our model and the …

Yesterday, H&M invited us and a few other German bloggers for the first Blogger Workshop worldwide. Let’s start timewise from at the end instead of begiing. So stay tuned and connect us on Facebook to keep up to date and see who else was there. We had a really nice task to do.

H&M Video Lookbook AW 2011

I already wrote about the H&M Lookbook AW 2011. Normally, I like the pictures of the H&M lookbooks a bit more than the videos. In this case though, it’s exactly the opposite. I think the official H&M Lookbook films really present the idea of the fashion itself.…

H&M Trend Lookbook Autum 2011

As the most of you know, I’m normally a huge fan of the “H&M Lookbooks“. This time I’m not really sure. I’m not that wow’d. Of course the single items are nice, but the pictures? In my opinion they are a bit to polished and I’m not a huge of the styling. It’s to much of everything. Yes, a lookbook should inspiring and doesn’t need to look like a regualar daily outfit but that is going into the wrong direction. In opposite I really like the heavy fabrics of the items and different kind of textures. I think they could have presented them in a nicer way. The men’s though stuff I totally like and I think they look gorgeous. So thumbs up for men and a half dump for the ladies, because I know they can do it better.

H&M Home Opening Party Frankfurt

H&M Home opened its doors in Frankfurt yesterday. After opening six stores all over europe is was time to see how Germany would like the in-store concept. The special point about the home collections is that it’s just been available online until now. H&M home is built like a showroom. You are able to see every single item of the collection and build your individual shopping cart. It works a bit like a an interior designer would work I guess. You will find small magnets next to the product and collect them on a board/tablet. After the final choice you will get you stuff at the cashier.

It was fun to see how everone enjoyed the concept. Celebrities like model Eva Padberg, VJ’s Palina and Patrice, actors like Alexandra Neldel or Jana Pallaske seemed to have a lot of fun while trying out the concept and reviewing the different themes of the collection. Also bloggers like Jessie (Les Mads), Katja (Bees and Ballons), Kerstin (La Gamine), Cailin (Birds of a feather ) and Camilla (Allet ohne Schminke) were invited. It’s was nice to spend some time with them.

After reviewing the …

Spring day

Nice first sunny and warm day in Hamburg yesterday. This skirt turns to be my favorite item this spring and the shirt I’m wearing is my favorite. Philipp and I passed the empty former shop of “Blood is the new Black” in L.A. by accident. If you are looking for a nice shirt have a look at their webshop. They collaborate with a lot of great artists.

Klara Shooting I

We had a great sunday with the really talented new face “Klara. She is wearing the H&M stuff that I picked in the showroom last week. I totally love the jacket from the Glamour Collection. What you don’t see though is how heavy it is. ;)
PS: I hate flickr and WordPress for reducing the photo quality so bad! ;(

H&M Showroom

Today, while preparing the next shooting, I could get a nice overview of the next “H&M” collections like the Conscious-, Glamour- and Inclusive Collection that offers up to size 54. I was pretty impressed about the huge range from ecofriendly over figurefriedly to a really proper, polish grown up Glamour-Collection. You will not get to see my favorites items though. ;) So stay tuned and see what I picked for the shooting.

Elin Kling X H&M

Elin Kling is the most well known blogger/fashion-editor in Sweden. With her blog “Style by Kling” she showed her really strong sense of style and love for scandinavian design. But she is way more than just a blogger, she is a fashion icon in sweden. After having lived in Stockholm I would say that every fashion interested person in Sweden knows her because of her huge media coverage and deep knowledge about it. No wonder that H&M picked her for the first collabo with a blogger. I’m not sure if I still would call her a “blogger” because of all the stuff that she does, but the collection looks fantastic. The silver suit and clutch are outstanding. The bad point is: it’s only available in Sweden :(
On her new website you will find “behind the scene” material and her new blog.

Same same but different

Hust! Ups! Two retailers and two versions of one and the same jacket in the same week ;) But I have to say that the one from H&M (right one) is in a really nice quality and not just a jersey fake baseball jacket from Topshop.
Dann bleibt ja nur noch eine Frage offen: Wer hat das Orginal designt? ;)

H&M x Lanvin Haute Couture Show NYC

Just a few days left before the “H&M x Lanvin” collection will launch in around 200 stores worldwide. Everyone was curious about the fashionshow that H&M is doing upfront the release of the designer collaboration. Yesterday evening celebrities like Asia Chow, Pixie Geldof, Dree Hemingway, Olga and Anna Dello Russo presented the collection in a different way. Every garment got a haut couture makeover by Alber Elbaz, artistic director at Lanvin. Wow! I wasn’t a huge fan of the ballerina dress before, but now I’m in love with the haute couture creation!!!! Gorgeous styling! All the looks from the show are avaible to buy at “Lanvin for H&M” and will be donated to UNICEF, as part of H&M’s “All for Children” .
