One of the bands which influenced me when I was younger was “Goldenen Zitronen” a german of punk band (kind of punk). When I was younger, there was the rumor they owned this really shady club called “Pudel Club” in Hamburg. So every wednesday I went there. One of the guys of “Tocotronic” was playing records there and it was a fun place to be. Also the guys of “Goldenen Zitronen” were hanging around in the club. The day after I was really tired at school but it was worth it.
That’s 15 years ago and I never tought I was going to see “Goldene Zitronen” live, but it happend at the Dockville Festival.
A bit sad that Rocko Schamoni wasn’t playing with them, but it was still great and energetic and as important as back in the days.
Sounds groupie like!? Yes, it was. ;) But there is nothing wrong about it and I’m proud that I was a groupie of such a great band.

Here comes the first round of some night time pictures from the Dockville Festival. Santigold really put up a great performance and brought some great style to the muddy festival area.

The rain stopped and the sun came out. How great. In a really nice atmosphere we saw the gig of Casper, Goldene Zitronen and Santigold on the “Dockville Festival“. Some nighttime and artist pictures coming pretty soon, cause we are on the jump to go to the festival area.

From fashion to the total opposite. This weekend we will join the “Dockville Festival” in Hamburg. At the airport a lot of people were standing with rubber boots. I was wondering but Philipp got it really fast. They were also on the way to Hamburg to the festival as well. At the main station we saw even more people with rubber boots and I started to wonder again. Why are so many people on the way wearing rubber boots!? When we arrived at the festival we found the answer really quick. ;) The whole festival was standing under water. Didn’t matter, we had a lot of fun anyway. We saw Materia and will go today again. Who cares about bad weather and mud? Not us! ;) Schlammville, we are coming!

After having visited the Melt! Festival a few weeks ago, the next great festival is following. It’s called “Dockville” and right in the middle of the Hamburg harbour with a spectacular view. The best part of it: it is just around the corner in our hometown.
Besides the great lineup, the Dockville festival is also known for its art projects.
If you want to see artists like Santigold, Goldenen Zitronen, Those dancing Days, Kante, HUAH!, Gold Panda, Raz Ohara and Knarf Rellöm you should hurry up and grab a ticket.
The best part of the festival is that the new all time favorite artist “Casper” will show up.
Of course we will shoot some nice streetstyles as well.

As you might know, I love the diversity of styles. For me that’s the most important thing when I see people on the road. Sometimes people look pretty to me, because they have something that other people don’t. Charisma!
For the most people those two girls aren’t that pretty. To me, those girls rock! They do their own thing and I like the power that they create.

The ambience at Ferropolis was even greater at night, nothing beats the illuminated industrial machines surrounded by peaceful party people and good music. Living in the heart of Sankt Pauli, the infamous red light district of Hamburg, we are used to a more tense atmosphere when out at night. It felt really good to see the opposite still exists. It didn’t feel good to see though, that my party endurance has become really bad. Am I getting too old? ;-)

I can’t believe we actually made it and visited the Melt! Festival this year. After years of non festival seasons we thought it was about time to go again. When Frontline Shop invited us to document streetstyles the decision was easy.
So we packed our stuff and stayed there for three days full of fun, strange weather, good vibes and gorgeous music. Besides taking photos we saw artists like “Hundreds in the Hands“, “Jose Gonzalez” and “The Streets“.
We were surprised about the huge amount of foreign people. Sometimes we kind of thought we were on a festival in Holland. ;)
More photos of nighttime will follow.

So many things are happening at the moment. We are happy to announce that we will be at the “Melt! Festival” from July 15 to 17 to catch your streetstyles for “frontlineshop” who is supporting the festival this year. So watch out, we will be there to shoot your best festival styles. If you have no ticket since it’s been sold out for weeks, you can still “win tickets at frontlineshop“. Every week they are giving away 1×2 ticket. We cross our fingers for you and hope you will make it to see great artitsts like Gold Panda, Robyn, Busy P, Digitalism, José González and the Streets. See you at Melt!
