Just a quick outfit from one of my preferred stores, the Norse Store. I didn’t think it was possible, but Nike comes up with some nice Air Max colourways. The last year has been really disappointing.

To be honest, I didn’t know Dana Lee before I read about her current collection on Slam-X-Hype. I really like the simplistic style in combination with the heritage touch and the look of the pictures. I’m not really sure about if it’s the 90′s, 80′s or 70′s that I feel here. A kind of soulglow. Any idea on where to get her stuff in Europe?

Elin Kling is the most well known blogger/fashion-editor in Sweden. With her blog “Style by Kling” she showed her really strong sense of style and love for scandinavian design. But she is way more than just a blogger, she is a fashion icon in sweden. After having lived in Stockholm I would say that every fashion interested person in Sweden knows her because of her huge media coverage and deep knowledge about it. No wonder that H&M picked her for the first collabo with a blogger. I’m not sure if I still would call her a “blogger” because of all the stuff that she does, but the collection looks fantastic. The silver suit and clutch are outstanding. The bad point is: it’s only available in Sweden :(
On her new website you will find “behind the scene” material and her new blog.

Wow, how stunning! I have never heard anything about Shao Yen Chen before. I love the video, I love the collection and I love the pictures. Everything that I could find out are the infos on the webpage. Shao Yen Chen is a Taiwanese born fashion designer and a Central Saint Martins MA graduate. He currently lives and works in London. Engineered Garments, a nice label that I discovered via Hypebeast a while ago. Usually I’m not really into suits and stuff but the combination of the urban backyard location, choice of model and styling just made me change my attitude towards suits. Simple, plain and classic but still kind of edgy.

During the stress about our new design, we totally forgot the blog birthday. I can’t believe it. The blog is really 2 years old now. We started with some pictures and graphics, just stuff that influences our daily life. It’s still like that but in a more worked out way, I would say. Our blog is still our private playground where we do and write about stuff that we honestly like. The last few months we did a lot of shootings for our blog on a really “low end” level. But it was fun to do it and we hopefully will be able to continue doing this the upcoming months. It’s a lot of work and we hope that you like it. We recently observed that a lot of blogs that started about the same time as we did are disappearing from the scene. I totally understand it since we often ask ourselves “why do we blog? is it really worth it? does someone really read the texts?,…..?” We are both online people by heart and we do believe in the future of it. So let’s step into the next year of blogging. Thank you for following and sharing…

I have been looking for a nice bag to replace my bagpack when visting clients. Feels kind of wrong taking the backpack-style to meetings. ;-) There are a few nice messenger-bags like the ones from Incase and Alkr out there, but somehow I need something more “classic”. These bags by Ally Capellinomight be just the ones I have been looking for. More pictures after the jump

So good that we have a “Monki Store” in Hamburg. I always find something there. During sale time it so nice to shop there! In Stockholm it was one of my favorite stores during sale. You can buy a bag full of stuff and never pay more than 100 EUR. This dress was 15 EUR!
(Coat – Cheap Monday, Dress – Monki, Jacket – Stine Goya for Weekday, Scarf – Monki, Ring – Weekday)

What do my winter blinded eyes see at “Topshop” this morning? The first preview of the SS2011 collection. Color everywhere! I’m totally in love. A color kick like this in the morning wakes me up and make me hope for an early spring. Especially the hair colors and the moodboard. I’m a bit surprised because it looks so typical 60′s and 70′s american and Topshop is famous for it’s british look. But who cares. ;) Fuck, and we are stuck in the middle of winter. I wanna wear everything of it, right now!!!!

This time the wishlist is a bit different. You will find my favorite outfits for New Year’s eve from “Urban Outfitters“, “Topshop” and “Asos“. I love the t.b.a. dress from “Urban Outfitters” and I don’t know what pair the shoes I like most. Ahhhh, I like all of the outfits and it would be hard too choose if I had to.
Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about “April77” from France. Now they did it again. A nice lookbook and great video. Jethro Cave & Sophie Willing are looking adorable as a couple. See the collection on the “April77 Website“.

We had a really crazy year this year. If I’m looking back it was one of the wildest in my life. Because so much happend we splitted the 2010 overview in three parts. Here we go with the first 4 months. Let’s start with the most important things in these months. We moved the 3rd time in Stockholm into one of our favorite areas in Stockholm, Södermalm. On a little hill we found our new home and we certainly loved it. In Feburary we were at the Stockholm Fashion Week. It’s a pretty small Fashion Week but with some amazing brands like Minimarket, Acne, Odeur, Cheap Monday, ….I totaly fell in love with the Minimarket shoes and I still have an eye on them. Winter was hard and dark. I can’t remember a day without freezing. ;) So we decided to fly to L.A. What a amazing city. I really want to live there! The whole way of life is totaly what I’m looking for. It was completely different then all the clichees that you have in mind when you are thinking about L.A. L.A.…

It’s almost impossible to think about neon in a good way if you grew up in the 80′s. Everyone had an item in neon. Personally I had a neon yellow raincoat and my best friend a neon pink one. I was allways jealous about her’s because I liked her coat so much more than mine. Nowadays I never thought about wearing neon again until I saw the gougeous collection of “TV“. They are using the colors in a brillant way and it’s like a red line trough the whole collection and you see it almost in every style, even if it is just a little detail. Now I’m starting to think that my yellow raincoat was boring, cause this collection is the shit. ;)

Hust! Ups! Two retailers and two versions of one and the same jacket in the same week ;) But I have to say that the one from H&M (right one) is in a really nice quality and not just a jersey fake baseball jacket from Topshop.
Dann bleibt ja nur noch eine Frage offen: Wer hat das Orginal designt? ;)

I think you can compare Swedish fashion with the fashion from Australia. The fashion from both countries has clean cuts, great colors and lives from there young interpretation of seen stuff. That’s the reason why I love fashion from those contries. If you have taken a look at the last wishlishes you saw some stuff from “Shakuhachi” from Australia. As I looked trough their lookbook I was getting wild. So crazy. They have a really huge collection with more than 50 styles and I liked almost everything. The transparent fabrics and the gourgeous colors are great and they are doing shoes aswell. How is that possible? Have a look on your own. Really impressive.

Ok now I’m feeling better after screaming my wanderlust away. ;) If I would go, perhaps I would choose the States for my holidays again. One of my favorite stores is “LF Stores“. You will find it in L.A., NYC and Miami. They are known for a good selection of edgy street and designer wear as well as for their nice lookbooks. The latest is online since yesterday and I’m a bit sad about the fact that they don’t have an online-store. Perhaps that’s better for me so I can save my money for a flight. ;) More after the jump.

You might know “Kimberley of ANC” from a former shooting in summer. She is a really gorgeous girl and easy to work with. So we went down to a famous hairdresser salon here on St. Pauli. I love the Elvis interior. ;) It totally fits with some of the “H&M Spring Collection” items.

One of our friends, blogger colleague and designer “Anna Wegelin” aka “Das Lachsbrötchen” had her final examination yesterday. So Katha, Philipp and I went their to see her great collection for next year. I’m sorry to says that you have to wait until next year to see it. It’s really colorful and totaly Anna like. Meanwhile you should keep an eye on Philipp Reining who is a part of “Fashion & Fame” at “Pro7″ that will start in january! Great to have so talented people in town! We wish you all the best for your future!

Since there is sale almost everywhere, let’s start the week with a wishlist. My email-inbox is full of offers, cybermondays, black friday and sales-newsletters. It’s only a matter of time until the sale at “Pixiemarket” begins. So it’s good to have a wishlist prepared. ;) Winter also started this weekend in Germany, but who need warm coats and warm garments if you can wear one of those nice items. ;) More after the jump.

One of my favorite streetwear-brands is “CTRL” from Helsinki, Finnland. For a couple of years I have been following them now and some of my closet-evergreens are CTRL pieces. So it’s really time to post the FW 2010 Lookbook. “CTRL” is designing for boys and girls. The boys collection includes more items, a bit sad…. but have a look on your own. More after the jump.

Perhaps the most interessing thing about “Weekday” are the collaborations at the moment. With the last one with the “Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp” they stole my heart and I adopted a blouse and a nacklace and gave them a good home. This time the couple of “Eley Kishimoto” will join “Weekday” on December 3rd. “Eley Kishimoto” are from London and produced a really colour- and playful collection for both men and woman. The whole collection is influenced by their own collection and you totally see their handwriting. I think it will be the most wearable collabo for “Weekday” which isn’t that bad if I look at the items. They are still edgy and different. If you are in Cologne, don’t miss to sign up for the launch party on december 2nd. More after the jump.

You got me, I’m a repeat offender when it comes to the wishlists. ;) But it’s hard not to choose one of those shops like “Nasty Gal“. They are have such a huge and good sorted range. And when it comes to shoes, they are one of the best shops online. At the moment the shop is packed with “Jeffrey Campbell” which isn’t the worst choice in my opinion. ;) More after the jump.

It’s not really often that I stumble upon clothes that I like. The stuff by Seattle based Maiden Noir is really nice though. Love the style and especially the jacket. Unfortunately I could not find the brand in any european online store, so please shout if they are available anywhere.

Just a few days left before the “H&M x Lanvin” collection will launch in around 200 stores worldwide. Everyone was curious about the fashionshow that H&M is doing upfront the release of the designer collaboration. Yesterday evening celebrities like Asia Chow, Pixie Geldof, Dree Hemingway, Olga and Anna Dello Russo presented the collection in a different way. Every garment got a haut couture makeover by Alber Elbaz, artistic director at Lanvin. Wow! I wasn’t a huge fan of the ballerina dress before, but now I’m in love with the haute couture creation!!!! Gorgeous styling! All the looks from the show are avaible to buy at “Lanvin for H&M” and will be donated to UNICEF, as part of H&M’s “All for Children” .

Because of the flu, I wasn’t able to go to the H&M open press house to review the spring collection 2010. Today the lookbook was in the mail and I was happy about what I saw. A nice variation from white and nude garments inspired by the 60′s / 70′s, graphic prints and exact cuts. Some items are have a romantic touch and on the other side you have bright colors. I like that the 60′s and 70′s are coming back. My favourite item is the short dress with the bright print and I also love the jean/black-combinations.

Since we moved a few times I had to sell a lot of my stuff. It was really sad, because some of the stuff I really liked. Whenever I see a nice closet like this one of Doub Hanshaw, the creative director for “Freepeople” I’m kind of jealous. But in a good way. It’s nice if you are able to collect so many things over the years. Especialy if you bought so many things on travels with a lot of memories….. I also got some things that I would never give away but not as many as in her closet. You need to see it. I love every single blouse. Some more then others. I used to call one of them the Rachel Zoe blouse. Guess which one it is. ;)
