Nice styling and a lot of little details.

Fashion weeks are more than just an event around fashion. It’s a place to meet people who share our idea of media and lifestyle and an event to team up and meet. I always get inspired by their presence and have a lot of fun with them. That, in my opinion, is the most important thing during fashion week. People like Nike and Sarah of This is Jane Wayne, Katha of I love Ponys Mag, Anna of Lachsbrötchen and Rahel of rahelitasway made me smile. And that’s what it’s all about – to have a great time, with great people and great inspiration and a preview of what’s next. Thanks a lot for some great moments!…

It was so sad that I missed the “Lena Hoschek” show. Although I could never wear her rockabilly stuff, I really like what she is doing. Her collections are different, her shows edgy and the clothes she shows on the runway really good. It is a bit the opposite of what “Dimitri” and “Rebekka Ruétz” do. In a commercial way both shows worked, but none of them wow’ed me. I like “Rebekka Ruétz” stuff but it was not that exciting to see it on the runway. The show was a bit to casual in my opinion. I loved the studio presentation last season. That’s the reason I was a bit surprised.…

I had some meetings before I went to some shows yesterday. My cold knocked me out pretty hard so I decided to go back home and have some rest. Still not feel good today.

The vietnamese Berlin based designer Hien Le stands for super clean and extra nice fabrics. He knows how to design in a gorgeous way. It is simple, pure and based on color- and fabric combinations. This collection it’s all about knit and straight lines. What I like most about “Hien Le” is his way of perfection. But I also have to admit that I like the last collection a bit more because of this really unique perfectionist way.…

Such a nice mix of fabrics at the “julianandben” presentation. Dark heavy knit meats soft layered silk and leather. Like in the summer collection we see a lot of batic, just in a darker version for autumn/winter.…

Let’s start the day with a little danish innovation and the WoodWood runway show. I guess like last season the WoodWood show will be one of my favorite shows. Wood Wood brings a bit international flavour to the FWB and I loved it. The great styling, brave and inovative but solid in the same way really made me smile. We saw some great patterns, lovely knitwear and of course some great hats that I completely fell in love with.
I was wondering a bit because I like the Ladies collection a bit more than the Men ones. For a Streetwear/Lifestyle brand that is really outstanding. The ladies collections are often boring, just shirts and basic. Not in this case.
A brilliant and rocking cast with a lot of my favorite german based models like Felix, Lisa and other great talents.
To me I guess, this will be my favorite show at Berlin Fashion Week.

I was a bit surprised at the “Blacky Dress” runway show. I kind of liked it the collection. The problem with the show was more the kind of presentation. I didn’t like the cast and styling. In another context I think I would like it more. Imagine the collection with edgy and great styled models. I think we would get more into/out of it.
For me “Black Dress” is the perfect example for the “Image is everything” thing.
Right?
