Wildfox White Label Collection

A month ago, Wildfox showed us some nice picuters from their lookbook for Spring 2011. Now they come with some great garment for the “White Label Collection“. Since last summer, I have been totally hypnotized by long dresses. They are really easy to wear and it always looks really dressed. This summer I think it will be the same pleasure for me to wear long dresses like those. But of course there are more stlyes than just long dresses in the new collection. Have a look on the Wildfox website. More long dresses after the jump.

Monki TV

I know that a huge bunch of you guys already know it, but I really like the idea of it. “Monki” is coming with an online tv-format streaming on the Monki website, Vimeo and Youtube. Each monday a new Monki TV-clip will be released. Tomorrow the first episode will be with cute “Susie Bubble“. Who else would fit better into that format with her vision of styling and ideas to combine stuff? I can’t wait to see how she will be styling. I’m wondering who is gonna be the next one. See the tailer of the first episode after the jump.

Online Wishlist

From time to time I’m mutating to a vintage moster like right now. Vintage always tells a story to me and got so much character if you wear it right. To find something vintage that you really like means more than just buying and wearing it. It means you really found something special that you might love for a long time. Nowadays everything is reachable pretty easy via the internet. It becomes even more special to wear something more individual. You could even call it art to wear the right vintage item. I love surfing on “Time’s up Vintage“. They offer some nice bits and pieces from great era’s. YSL next to Karl Lagerfeld, next to Gucci, next to Burberry vintage items. Nice selection and one of the best vintage online shops! More pictures after the jump.

Engineered Garments

Engineered Garments, a nice label that I discovered via Hypebeast a while ago. Usually I’m not really into suits and stuff but the combination of the urban backyard location, choice of model and styling just made me change my attitude towards suits. Simple, plain and classic but still kind of edgy.

Urban Outfitters Catalog Preview

It’s really obvious and no secret that I’m a huge fan of the Urban Outfitters aesthetic. Normaly I’m really waiting for new catalogs and pictures, but this time I’m a bit disappointed. Of course those pictures are great pictures but the point of difference is missing. To me the light and the posing and angles are totaly American Apparel like. When I look at pictures from all the other retailers I can immediately see who they belong to. That was the reason I loved the UO pictures so much. It’s so important from the first second that you see who it is. But sorry UO, with the preview I’m not really sure if you hit the edge. I will wait until the whole catalog is out and hopefully you will surprise me. More pictures after the jump.

My part of the sunday soundtrack comes from Jupiter from Free the Robots, a music guy from Santa Ana, California. I really love the sound and visual approach in the video. If you do so too, be sure to check out the Los Angeles based Low End Theory podcast. Always some bangin’ beats for your ipod.

Out for a walk

No, winter in Hamburg is not fancy! We were out for a walk with “Katha” and Marcel. I rather like it cold and a lot of snow than warm and not raining. But that’s not the Hamburg winter. Nope! We have got ice and wet snow. It is was nice to go out anyway. It makes you appreciate being inside on a sofa… ;-) More pictures after the jump.

Blog Birthday

During the stress about our new design, we totally forgot the blog birthday. I can’t believe it. The blog is really 2 years old now. We started with some pictures and graphics, just stuff that influences our daily life. It’s still like that but in a more worked out way, I would say. Our blog is still our private playground where we do and write about stuff that we honestly like. The last few months we did a lot of shootings for our blog on a really “low end” level. But it was fun to do it and we hopefully will be able to continue doing this the upcoming months. It’s a lot of work and we hope that you like it. We recently observed that a lot of blogs that started about the same time as we did are disappearing from the scene. I totally understand it since we often ask ourselves “why do we blog? is it really worth it? does someone really read the texts?,…..?” We are both online people by heart and we do believe in the future of it. So let’s step into the next year of blogging. Thank you for following and sharing your …

Atsuro Tayama AW10 / SS11

I’m such a lookbook nerd. Whenever I see a great lookbook or a gorgeous video I’m getting so happy. Today I have to thank “Atsuro Tayama” for this dramatic moment. An avant-garde and sophisticated look from a Japanese designer that lives in Paris. Lovley combination! You can see how both country influences the garments. The avant-garde from Japan and the sophisticated elegance from Paris. It’s just beautiful. More pictures and videos after the jump.

Blog Redesign

Crazy but true! The new functions on our blog are ready to use. I can’t believe it. The last two days have been close like a nightmare. To redesign the blog was not the problem, but to change the domain to another provider was nearly impossible. Fuck off, the blog is running now! This is version 1. If I will find some more time, I will do a complete redesign and not only change the functionality. I hope you like it and are able to use the new navigation wonder.

Sounds of Stockholm

Valerie Toumayan did a wonderful documentation about Stockholm for “I love Sweden“. It’s a great overview about the music scene in Sweden. Of course you see the girls of “Those dancing days” and “Peter Bjorn and John” who are a famous band in Sweden and produce for “Lykke Li“. Nice to see all those places. We lived pretty much around the corner where “Tobias Fröberg” is walking around and the parc where “Peter Moren” is playing was Nikitas favorite place. Schnief. This video brings back some really nice memories. Stockholm you are such a beautiful city with such a huge bunch of talented people. We miss you!

Feels kind of wrong taking the backpack-style to meetings. ;-) There are a few nice messenger-bags like the ones from Incase and Alkr out there, but somehow I need something more “classic”. Jeffrey Campbell – White Collection

White is the new camel. I read that in the german Glamour a few days ago. To be honest, that scares me a bit. Do you remember that I wrote that not everyone should wear white shoes, as I saw the the white Jeffrey Campbells in the latest lookbook? Forget that! Jeffrey Campbell is coming with a white collection and in the lookbook you will find some good examples on how to wear it. I totaly adore them! Go for it and wear white shoes! So good that we have a “Monki Store” in Hamburg. I always find something there. During sale time it so nice to shop there! In Stockholm it was one of my favorite stores during sale. You can buy a bag full of stuff and never pay more than 100 EUR. This dress was 15 EUR!

Topshop First Look SS 2011

What do my winter blinded eyes see at “Topshop” this morning? The first preview of the SS2011 collection. Color everywhere! I’m totally in love. A color kick like this in the morning wakes me up and make me hope for an early spring. Especially the hair colors and the moodboard. I’m a bit surprised because it looks so typical 60′s and 70′s american and Topshop is famous for it’s british look. But who cares. ;) Fuck, and we are stuck in the middle of winter. I wanna wear everything of it, right now!!!!

Our Year 2010 Part III of III

The first months in Hamburg where really stressful because we had to work and build up our life in Hamburg again. It’s was an unspectular summer. The weather became bad quickly. We had no barbeque, no camping, no seaside time. Really bad! The good point was we were able to do some amazing shootings. We are a bit surprised by the early snow this year. Since november we have snow in Germany. Hihi, that was one of the reasons we moved back from Stockholm back to Hamburg -to get rid of all that snow. That’s not fair. But ok, then we had some more time for indoor events like gallery events and concerts. We totaly forgot to do some videos. Such a shame! A good friend of us said, she is starting the next year with no big plan like moving to another city or starting something new. I feel a bit the same. Perhaps that’s the new Generation X feeling. But may be not really since I’m always hoping for the best and that’s not typical for the new grunge! ;) So let’s go with huge steps into the new year and let’s see what …

Our Year Part II of III

Back in Stockholm, summer started from one to the next moment. We were hanging around in the park in front of your house drinking way to expensive beer. I was working a lot but it was fun, because we had a great time at the shootings. In summer, this city is completly like another city. Everybody is relaxed and just wants to have a good time. Philipp finished his Interactive Communication Diploma at Berghs School of Communication. So good that he walked this way! I was still working a lot but in our spare time we were glad to be in this so beautiful country and we had some wonderful summerdays. We spend a lot of time with our friends. We also started to do our shootings for the blog. In the end, I don’t understand this decision no more, but we hired an appartment back in Hamburg. I was shocked in the first weeks. ;) Everything was different and we had to learn “the german way” again. It was great to see all the other bloggers from Hamburg at a Bloggermeeting. While I had some bad time in my new job, we did some great …
