Hooded

Mario and Ksenia of “Fashionjunk” spotted me last week at a Weekday collection launch event. I’m wearing one of my favorite items this winter, a Minimarket knitted hood.

Flea market impressions

On sunday we had a little flea market with some of our good friends Anna and Katha. Some other bloggers from Hamburg joined the flea market as well. People like Anouk, Kathrin, Sophia, Juliane, Ricarda, Alexandra and Chrissi rocked the house. Also a thank you goes out to frontlineshop, Blonde, Couch Magazine, Vitaminwater and the das Lokal Team for their support.
It was fun to be surrounded by those people and we had a really good time. Some more picture at kabutaram.

Monki Magazine Launch Party

Just a few photos of the “Monki Magazine” event yesterday. It’s such a nice issue. I love the pictures and spirit of it. Maybe because it’s the travel issue and I love to travel. It’s not online yet, but you should definitely have a look if you get the chance.

OTW aka Off the Wall

Yesterday I had a little surprise gift in the mail, a fresh pair of brown Vans OTW. Thanks a lot! On this occasion I stumbled upon the video of the launch party during Bread and Butter last month that we were invited to. Unfortunately we were not able to go and it sure as hell looks like we missed a really nice evening feat Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Chris Kong, Dimitri Coste and Eric Elms. Next time! Check the video after the jump.

Weekend impressions

Anna, Philipp and I followed up two invitations last weekend. One was the Sony Walkman launch presentation with a panel talk about favorite songs with Frank Spilker (Die Sterne), Tom Hessler (Fotos) and one Intro guy (can’t remember his name). After the session we also joined the Intro birthday event “100 DJ’s”. It was really fun because 100 different DJs were just playing 1 song each! It was such a great line up with a lot of old friends. Great event.

Herschel Lookbook

A lot of lookbooks look “same same but different” these days and just don’t manage to keep/build an authentic brand identity. Either focusing too much on the product or trying to tell a story that just does not come around authentic. Herschel keeps to its read thread and comes with a lovely lookbook transporting a feeling that makes me want to pack my bag right away. The products in just the right context.

In love with Ilva Heitmann

I’m thinking about renaming this section ;) Maybe the name “Sevda in love with redheads” fits better. But the photos of Ilva Heitmann definitely are some of my favorites. Her strong and different look, her intense eyecontact and her “non posing” is modern as hell. I would love to see more photos like this in Germany.

Love the look

Wow, I love the whole look and especially the pattern of the blouse. Also the combination with the bright green is such a brave choice! Seen at “Pixiemarket“.

You Must Create Spring/Summer 2012

YMC has become one of my favorite brands these days. This lookbook of spring/summer 2012 has quite a young and clean approach and the styling really isn’t my personal preference, but I still like the outcome and totally agree with the creative decision. In combination with inspiration from the previous lookbooks and the choice of models in the online-shop I can still relate and get inspired by the brand. Nevertheless because of the great clothes. Good stuff!

Urban Outfitters features First Aid Kid

What I like about Urban Outfitters is their love to freature young talents like designers, artists and musicians. Also their way of doing it is always a creative one. The latest lucky ones are “First Aid Kid” from Sweden. A nice way to present an interview including great pictures with the typical UO styling. Have a look here on the “UO Website“. Sometimes the easiest way is the best way indeed.

In love with Beegee Margenyte

At work I need to review a lot of models at the moment. No wonder that my eyes were stuck on Beegee Margenyte at Supreme Management. She worked for clients like MIH, Topshop, Bull & Bear and I love Fake. I love her look and pictures. She got something really special and you remember her longer than just a while. That’s what clients want, beautiful girls with charisma ;)

Wishlist

It’s time for some spring inspiration. I saw this gorgeous vest and leather bag hanging in the Acne store in Stockholm. Damn, it looked so incredible just hanging there. I also can’t wait to wear some color and light fabrics again. Let there be spring! ;)

Stüssy x Parra Collab Interview

I have been a fan of Parra’s work for years now and I really like the outcome of this collabo. This interview stresses the background of his motivation and provides a solid ground for choosing him as a partner and at the same time an authentic stage for his very own brand. Be sure to check out his own clothing line Rockwell as well. I find it really funny that he doesn’t like the color green. I know someone else who does neither. ;-)

Acne Vest or a little homage to This is Jane Wayne

This post is dedicated to “This is Jane Wayne“, two blogger colleagues and their article about why/how bloggers can afford designer clothes.
I can just answer it for myself:
I’m working fulltime, blogging is just a hobby. I don’t have a car because I prefer carsharing or riding my bike. I don’t smoke no more and I’m not really a party person. Philipp and I share an apartment. I like buying designer stuff instead of tons of retailer items ;)
What I do is just buying classic and no trend items. And I love sale! I bought the this vest on sale and I know I will wear it for a long long time and I’ll be able to combine it really well.
That’s the secret how I can afford it…
It’s more a question of prioritization.

In love with Luisa Bianchin

This week I’m in love with “Luisa Bianchin” at Viva. Sorry for waiting such a long time since the last wonderful model post. If you have been following us since a while you may have seen Luisa on the blog before. We did a streetstyle picture of her in NYC during the Fashionweek. Her unique face and stunning modern look make her outstanding.

Comme Des Garcons – Lookbook

Union really is a store i like and love to visit when in Los Angeles. They have a great selection of brands and an inspiring way of presenting the styles. I borrowed these shots from a Patta blog post a while ago. Until recently Comme Des Garcons was not really on my personal “need” radar, but these pics definitely changed it. Dope!

The perfect apartment

A friend of us got the perfect apartment. I love every little detail. She has this nice white wooden floor, white furniture, white details, white white white where ever you look.
The poster gives the apartment the right personal edge, because they all got and transport a personal meaning. Especially the moose is such a great piece. Some people just know how to do it right. I love your apartment, Charlotta!

Hixsept Spring/Summer 2012

It’s funny, but there are always a handfull of brands that have kept my attention over the years. Hixsept is one of them. They always come with a nice approach, combining their once again great collection with artistic elements creating a lookbook that is a piece of art itself. I really look forward seeing this stuff in selected stores and getting my hands on a few pieces. Unfortunately I didn’t make it to the tradeshows in Berlin last week.

The point with the worlds best magazine store

I have travelled a lot and I seen a lot of stores, but there is one store that is always breathtaking. In the middle of Stockholm, not really in the main shopping area, there is this small shop that makes me completely happy. Papercut is specialized in fashion magazines, books and other media. I have never seen such a well sorted media store! I wish I would have a room in my apartment this full of handpicked fashion magazines.
The bad point is that if I go there, I want to buy almost everything. But I can’t. Overweight :(
If you are in Stockholm, make sure you don’t miss this place.
Krukmakargatan 24-26 (t-bana Mariatorget, exit Torkel Knutssons),
Next to Nitty Gritty, Our Legacy and A.P.C.

Stockholm impressions

To me, Stockholm is one of the most inspiring cities in the world. I tried so often to figure out why everything looks so good. Even the smallest thing seems to be brilliant and fits perfectly in the surrounding. You know what!? I think it is in the swedish genes ;) They come to this world and know exactly how make it work ;) One of my favorite things in winter is the moment, round about 3 pm, when the sky turns into this sort of vanilla. Everything looks powdered. I love this light.
