Between the years Part II

Our neighborhood is really nice and calm but still close to everything. A small heaven for Nikita. Really looking forward to spring and summer. All this darkness and rain can be a bit depressing. ;)

Between the years in Berlin Part I

Between the years we stayed in Berlin, met a lot of friends and had some really good asian food. The city was quite empty. On those days it feels like most people who live there are from other cities or abroad.

In love with Lara Mullen

For weeks I have been having a secret affair. I’m in love with “Lara Mullen“. Her whole look is just incredible. On one side edgy and the other side cool and modern as hell. Such a new fresh face. I totally see those kind of girls for the next seasons.

White Moutaineering

White Moutaineering has not been on my radar for long, but i definitely like this upcoming collection. The brand unites the street, technology and outdoor in a unique way. Hopefully I will get my hands on one of these pieces.

Monochrome outfit

I like wearing monochrome at the moment. The “Wood Wood Rachel scarf” works perfect with the skirt and turtleneck. Also it’s really cozy. Just great for this time of the year.

Review 2011 Part II

We also want to thank the people behind the scenes which are making thinks possible for us. Artists, models, bookers, designers, brands, pr-people and all the helping hands of friends. Without you we wouldn’t be able to do all the blog shootings and other great stuff that we are allowed to discover. It’s been a great year with a lot of wonderful experiences. Thank you for your support in 2011 and a happy new year.

String gardens

I’m so fascinated by the idea of having a string garden. Or at least a string flower or tree if there wasn’t the dirt-problem. What a gorgeous idea. I guess I like the uncontrolled version with a bit grass the most, but the flying tree also looks amazing.

Searching for the perfect haircare

Honestly!? I hate my hair. ;) If you asked me what I could change if I could, I would say my hair. To me it’s strange when people say that they like my hair. It’s as always, you want what you don’t have. That’s the reason why I’m always looking for nice hairproducts. The lastest are “Korres products“. I’m not sure about it. The shampoo is quite ok but I don’t like the conditioner. The hair becomes heavy and dead. Recommendation are appreciated and welcomed, please share it with me. I’m really willing to try some new products.

Fuct – A brand not fu**ed

I remember buying my first Fuct t-shirt in 92 or 93 in a shady store in central Stockholm. It had the Ford style logo on the chest and “Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” on the back. I believe it was fake, but the brand has been following me ever since. Great video by David Gallardo for Hypebeast TV giving some insights into the approach of Eric Brunetti.
“In order to stay relevant in this industry you gotta do things on your own terms.”
“Brands, and the people behind the brands are too eager to please.”
“It means more to others than it means to myself. Honestly, it’s just a 9 to 5 job. ”
You just got to love this guy.

In love with Amanda Smith

Let’s start the week with a beautiful girl that has been following my path for a while now. I have been in love with Amanda Smith for a long time now. I’m fascinated about her red hair and gorgeous sun spoons. Her whole look is so L.A. but at the same time she is totally editorial. Love her.

HUF Holiday Lookbook

While I am not really that much into the HUF clothing itself, their corporate identity and whole visual approach is totally my style. Minimalistic & straight but still emotional. The latest lookbook, shot by Brian Kelley, definitely transports it. It focuses less on the product and more on the context, in a metaphoric manner.

Esprit x Facehunter

My wish is to become the Facehunter and do such nice jobs like him ;)
Esprit, what’s going on? So many nice campaigns the last months….
The ideas are not the newest but at least you are doing something like this on such a high level.
You are also using the socialmedia channels in a great way.
I like the fact that you start to work in a benchmark-position.

Themis Mobile at Gestalten

One of my alltime favorite shops in Berlin is the “Gestalten Shop“. Gestalten are famous for their excellent taste for publications and their sense for design. I guess you will know some of their stuff. The last time we visited the shop we bought two things. One was this themis-trio-mobile from the designer Clara von Zweigbergk who studied at Beckmans School of
Design, Stockholm. It was pretty easy to folt ;) The other one will be a hard one …. We’ll post it when ready. ;)

Ice Cube Celebrates The Eames

Ice Cube being a major influence to myself from a musical perspective, driving around LA being one of my favorite cities and sharing his very own perspective on the Eames definitely makes this video a favorite too. But also from the strategic and conceptual point of view this a great way to use Cube as an authentic medium to present a heritage but still contemporary milestone of LA like the Eames couple, uniting the present, past and future. Feel free to visit the Pacific Standard Time Project for more info about the project itself.
