Blue nights II

The idea was to shoot two different girls with different stylings, light, mood and an other hair & make-up in the same setting. It’s hard to say which one I like more.

Hello from work

Sorry, for not posting so much at the moment. I’m in the studio all the time, working. As some of you know, I’m working as a creative director and photographer. When we are in the studio, we need to test the lighting. So one of us needs to be in the set to see what it looks like. That are usually the most funny pictures. Believe me, no one looks good on these pictures ;)

Bodega Fall/Winter 2012 Lookbook

Bodega is a Boston based brand that has not been on my map until I recently discovered the lookbook on Slamxhype. I really like the style and they seem to have a pretty mature collection combining basic garments like printed sweaters with more fashionable and loud items like the shirts and pants. Good stuff here! Check out the Bodega website for more info.

From white to black

Yes, I had these Acne boots in white as well. Because of a color accident though, Acne was so friendly to exchange them. I liked them so much more in white but to have them in black is better than not having them at all.

Louis Vuitton interprets Muhammad Ali

Louis Viutton launched a really nice campaign around Muhammad Ali and his poetry, “The Greatest“. The video that got my attention and eventually led me to the campaign site was the one with Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and Nils Shoe Moelman (Calligraffiti artist). I really love the artistic approach, combining Muhammads heritage with contemporary artists opening up the brand for a completely new audience. Well done! I would love to see more brands having the guts to take this path.

Philipp Lim – PASHLI’ SATCHEL BAG

When I was in NYC, I met this wonderfully dressed woman while waiting for my friends. I told her that the has an amazing style. She was one of these women wearing designer dresses without looking like a christmas tree. Nike’s combined with a Jil Sander Dress and a Philipp Lim Pashli Satchel Bag. I thought doing a streetstyle picture would be a bit to ordinary. Ever since this moment, I have been huge fan of this bag.
