Engineered Garments, a nice label that I discovered via Hypebeast a while ago. Usually I’m not really into suits and stuff but the combination of the urban backyard location, choice of model and styling just made me change my attitude towards suits. Simple, plain and classic but still kind of edgy.

Valerie Toumayan did a wonderful documentation about Stockholm for “I love Sweden“. It’s a great overview about the music scene in Sweden. Of course you see the girls of “Those dancing days” and “Peter Bjorn and John” who are a famous band in Sweden and produce for “Lykke Li“. Nice to see all those places. We lived pretty much around the corner where “Tobias Fröberg” is walking around and the parc where “Peter Moren” is playing was Nikitas favorite place. Schnief. This video brings back some really nice memories. Stockholm you are such a beautiful city with such a huge bunch of talented people. We miss you!
I have been looking for a nice bag to replace my bagpack when visting clients. Feels kind of wrong taking the backpack-style to meetings. ;-) There are a few nice messenger-bags like the ones from Incase and Alkr out there, but somehow I need something more “classic”. White is the new camel. I read that in the german Glamour a few days ago. To be honest, that scares me a bit. Do you remember that I wrote that not everyone should wear white shoes, as I saw the the white Jeffrey Campbells in the latest lookbook? Forget that! Jeffrey Campbell is coming with a white collection and in the lookbook you will find some good examples on how to wear it. I totaly adore them! Go for it and wear white shoes! A while agao, I had the chance to do an interview with “Lykke Li” about her new album Wounded Rhymes which is coming out in feburary / march. The interview is coming pretty soon. So good that we have a “Monki Store” in Hamburg. I always find something there. During sale time it so nice to shop there! In Stockholm it was one of my favorite stores during sale. You can buy a bag full of stuff and never pay more than 100 EUR. This dress was 15 EUR!

What do my winter blinded eyes see at “Topshop” this morning? The first preview of the SS2011 collection. Color everywhere! I’m totally in love. A color kick like this in the morning wakes me up and make me hope for an early spring. Especially the hair colors and the moodboard. I’m a bit surprised because it looks so typical 60′s and 70′s american and Topshop is famous for it’s british look. But who cares. ;) Fuck, and we are stuck in the middle of winter. I wanna wear everything of it, right now!!!!
This time the wishlist is a bit different. You will find my favorite outfits for New Year’s eve from “Urban Outfitters“, “Topshop” and “Asos“. I love the t.b.a. dress from “Urban Outfitters” and I don’t know what pair the shoes I like most. Ahhhh, I like all of the outfits and it would be hard too choose if I had to.
The first months in Hamburg where really stressful because we had to work and build up our life in Hamburg again. It’s was an unspectular summer. The weather became bad quickly. We had no barbeque, no camping, no seaside time. Really bad! The good point was we were able to do some amazing shootings. We are a bit surprised by the early snow this year. Since november we have snow in Germany. Hihi, that was one of the reasons we moved back from Stockholm back to Hamburg -to get rid of all that snow. That’s not fair. But ok, then we had some more time for indoor events like gallery events and concerts. We totaly forgot to do some videos. Such a shame! A good friend of us said, she is starting the next year with no big plan like moving to another city or starting something new. I feel a bit the same. Perhaps that’s the new Generation X feeling. But may be not really since I’m always hoping for the best and that’s not typical for the new grunge! ;) So…
Ahhhh sale! Of course I ran into the city like 1000 other addicts. I had an eye on this “Cheap Monday Coat” before. Now it was the time to give it a new home. I was also looking for a “Camel Coat” but couldn’t find it.

Back in Stockholm, summer started from one to the next moment. We were hanging around in the park in front of your house drinking way to expensive beer. I was working a lot but it was fun, because we had a great time at the shootings. In summer, this city is completly like another city. Everybody is relaxed and just wants to have a good time. Philipp finished his Interactive Communication Diploma at Berghs School of Communication. So good that he walked this way! I was still working a lot but in our spare time we were glad to be in this so beautiful country and we had some wonderful summerdays. We spend a lot of time with our friends. We also started to do our shootings for the blog. In the end, I don’t understand this decision no more, but we hired an appartment back in Hamburg. I was shocked in the first weeks. ;) Everything was different and we had to learn “the german way” again. It was great to see all the other bloggers from Hamburg at a Bloggermeeting.…

We had a really crazy year this year. If I’m looking back it was one of the wildest in my life. Because so much happend we splitted the 2010 overview in three parts. Here we go with the first 4 months. Let’s start with the most important things in these months. We moved the 3rd time in Stockholm into one of our favorite areas in Stockholm, Södermalm. On a little hill we found our new home and we certainly loved it. In Feburary we were at the Stockholm Fashion Week. It’s a pretty small Fashion Week but with some amazing brands like Minimarket, Acne, Odeur, Cheap Monday, ….I totaly fell in love with the Minimarket shoes and I still have an eye on them. Winter was hard and dark. I can’t remember a day without freezing. ;) So we decided to fly to L.A. What a amazing city. I really want to live there! The whole way of life is totaly what I’m looking for. It was completely different then all the clichees that you have in mind when you are thinking about L.A. L.A.…
It’s almost impossible to think about neon in a good way if you grew up in the 80′s. Everyone had an item in neon. Personally I had a neon yellow raincoat and my best friend a neon pink one. I was allways jealous about her’s because I liked her coat so much more than mine. Nowadays I never thought about wearing neon again until I saw the gougeous collection of “TV“. They are using the colors in a brillant way and it’s like a red line trough the whole collection and you see it almost in every style, even if it is just a little detail. Now I’m starting to think that my yellow raincoat was boring, cause this collection is the shit. ;)
Hust! Ups! Two retailers and two versions of one and the same jacket in the same week ;) But I have to say that the one from H&M (right one) is in a really nice quality and not just a jersey fake baseball jacket from Topshop.

It’s 5 to sale almost everywhere and I’m still in love with the “Acne Collection“. “Creatures of comfort” in L.A. and NYC offers a huge selection of it and a lot of other nice stuff. You will find a lot of Skandinavian brands like Wood Wood, Sabrina Dehoff and Henrik Vibskov. If you are around: I was in both shops and have to say that they are one of the best shops I have ever been to.
I think you can compare Swedish fashion with the fashion from Australia. The fashion from both countries has clean cuts, great colors and lives from there young interpretation of seen stuff. That’s the reason why I love fashion from those contries. If you have taken a look at the last wishlishes you saw some stuff from “Shakuhachi” from Australia. As I looked trough their lookbook I was getting wild. So crazy. They have a really huge collection with more than 50 styles and I liked almost everything. The transparent fabrics and the gourgeous colors are great and they are doing shoes aswell. How is that possible? Have a look on your own. Really impressive.
Sometimes it’s fun to go to concerts of bands that you don’t know like I did last week at the “Haus III & 70“. I was there for another reason but I heard the soundcheck and kind of liked the music. So I decided to stay until the concert started. The band was called “Mega! Mega!” and is coming from Berlin. They sing in german and are playing this typical energetic berlin punk sound. Note for my list for next year: more concerts from bands that I don’t know.
This weekend you need to listen to “The Hundred in the Hands” from Brooklyn. Gorgeous band.

I like behind the scenes pictures since they show nothing but the truth. The truth is that Leslie is a non-smoker and Nikita is a camera b*tch, who wants to sit in the front of the camera all the time and we are really just to persons who are deal with just about everything. ;) But hell yeah, we always have a lot of fun. That’s the reason we put up with this hustle everytime. ;)

Ok now I’m feeling better after screaming my wanderlust away. ;) If I would go, perhaps I would choose the States for my holidays again. One of my favorite stores is “LF Stores“. You will find it in L.A., NYC and Miami. They are known for a good selection of edgy street and designer wear as well as for their nice lookbooks. The latest is online since yesterday and I’m a bit sad about the fact that they don’t have an online-store. Perhaps that’s better for me so I can save my money for a flight. ;) More after the jump.
