Maiden Noir with another collection packed into a simple yet stylish lookbook. I really like the whole storytelling approach of the label, using medaphoric images to grip each project and providing a solid ground for each piece of the collection . If I could just get a hold of some of these pieces…

I coundn’t resist and I love my new white “Acne Boots“. I was looking for them for a really long time on the website but I coundn’t find them. Then I suddenly found them in a store in Stockholm. It was the last pair. They were meant to be mine ;)

Well, the title might be a little over the top but there definitely is some truth in it. At least to me. The Air Max has been my favorite sneaker for years now & I have had dozens of different colorways of the Air Max 90 and One. During the last couple of years though, my personal interest in the model and Nike in general has decreased and shifted towards New Balance. With the Roshe Run the brand with the Swoosh has reactivated my attention. It is simple & plain and unbelievably comfortable to wear. My new favorite. Check the Interview with designer Dylan Raasch on howtomakeit.com for some special insights.

Odin presents a really nice lookbook this season. Not only brands need to work on building their brand-universe, retailers need to do so as well. Lookbooks work for both parts and it is good to see a lot of retailers taking that path. Without this lookbook I would have probably never heard of neither retailer nor some of the brands. The simple equation of social currency in fashion: Style and inspiration lead to affiliation. Give people something they truly care about and they will let their fellows know. Nice one!

Another episode from Vans’ Offthewall.tv. This time with Henry Rollins speaking about the “Drop in the bucket” project. And believe me, this man has got something to say. If you do ever have the chance to see one of his show, go there! The following quotes wrap up what the short film is all about: “There is nothing for your Rock N Roll in Sudan”, “Peoples choices are live or die”, “When you’re in an environment where push comes to shove, it’s hard for people to be compassionate and friendly. They go into survival mode.” “Why give a major chunk of change to people half-way around the world? Well, that is the test to see how awesome you are to see beyond your next bag of groceries, to look at this world in this tremendous wide **** and say: Ok, in a way we have to look out for eachother.” “We define ourselves by these acts of great kindness.”
But look for yourself after the jump and visit the Drop in the Bucket Project Site.

The visuals, melody and allover artistic approach of Zhala in this video is just awesome. Sweden once again proves a great sense for style. Check out her Facebook-Page for more info, give her a like and see the whole video after the jump. Hope to hear more soon. DOPE!

Sometimes it’s just nice to meet good friends and have some delicious fresh swedish kladdkaka (sticky chocolate cake) with creme and fruits. To us, Stockholm is more than just a nice and beautiful city. It still feels like home with quality time and an inspiring surrounding. It’s simply nice to be surrounded by people who share the same kind of vision and approach.…

I love the Fleet Ilya visors. Not for everyday, but for days you feel you need some edge. I would wear it like shown: blank shirt and just jeans. That’s it. Love!…

Really plain, just black and white.

A few weeks ago we visited Oma Else in Cologne and went on a quick coffee round downtown. Strange to walk around in the old neighborhood. Hamburg feels so much more like home now. And Stockholm. And Berlin. No beer beats a Kölsch though! ;-)

L.A., my favorite Henry Holland dress and some nice Jeffrey Campbell shoes. That’s all I need. It’s so easy to make my day.

Life is busy these days and I’m working in the photostudio a lot. Then it’s nice to wear those cozy and comfortable clothes. So I stole Philipp’s “Rockers NYC” sweater which was waiting to be used ;) He owns it since a couple of years back and I’m the only one who wears it. Shame! It’s such a nice piece.
PS: It’s glows in the dark….…

It happened again. I didn’t pack enough stuff for Stockholm ;) As always it was colder than expected so I had to borrow some stuff from someone else. In this particular case it meant wearing something from Philipp. Actually it turns out that I like this raincoat a lot.…

During the easter holiday we spent some days in lovely Stockholm. One think I almost like the most is the incredible sunshine and light.…

I’m still searching for the right cap. On the top of my wishlist you will find two of the fabulous “Ampal Creative” caps. Of course, for me it could be a bit louder and colourful. Philipp prefers the rather calm ones ;) Does anyone know where to get them in Europe?…

So at last, here comes the final part of our Thailand impressions. We hope we didn’t get on your nerves ;) It’s no secret, we love Asia for so many reasons. It’s always worth for visit because of the culture, people, food, art and great landscapes. See you soon, Asia.…

I am still very much in love with the asian flava and interpretation of heritage american styles. Korean Original Cut got a really nice collection this season and captured it in a good lookbook. I hope to see part of the collection in some selected stores. Have a closer look on the Original Cut website. Good stuff!

I’m mad in love with those colorful, wild patterned dresses and shirts of House of Holland at “Urban Outfitters“. It’s a bit too wild for me, right?…

We’ll be in Stockholm the next days. So of course I prepared a little wishlist with your typical Scandinavian labels like Acne, Caren Wester, Wood Wood, Sandqvist & Cheap Monday. After all, I must not to get lost in the Stockholm fashion jungle. ;) Tons of shoes, bags and summerdresses will have to get tested as well. Kind of funny because it’s about 4 degrees in Stockholm at the moment. Who cares….. Summer will be back pretty soon.…

Once we arrived in Bangkok, we met the white rabbit, went through thousands of malls, didn’t have a dental surgery, had a Mos Burger, saw a lot of cats, searched for Little India, …. The list goes on and on. We had a great time! …
