Like I already wrote, we found a really nice place to stay. After a bit of research we decided to stay in NYC via “airbnb” for the first time. Airbnb is a platform for private people offering a room at a certain rate. Kind of a mix of couchsurfing and old fashioned bed&breakfast. When we saw the picture of Flannery & Ray we immediately decided to ask them for a free room because they looked so sympathetic at first sight.
Of course their rooms looked good too on the pictures. Flannery & Ray have this yoga place in Greenpoint called “goodyoga“.
We are always invited to do yoga for free. But to be honest, we never did because we were far too lazy. ;) But it looked really good though. They focus mainly on Ashtanga but offer other variation and meditation as well. Check the goodyoga website for more information.
Anyway, we lived right to the waterside and had a great view out of our bed. The sykline of Manhatten including the Empire State Building were the first things that we saw in the morning. Also we had access to a great rooftop. I guess we couldn’t have had a better accommodation. Thank you both for your hospitality!
More after the jump.

Looks like great fun! :) What an incredible experience. I think couchsurfing is quite a novel concept and would definitely like to try it one day… That apartment looks so interesting! Full of all sorts of trinkets representing so many different cultures. :D
Just discovered your blog. Such lovely streetstyle shots! Really enjoying the posts.

It was a pleasure meeting you. Hope to see you again … in Germany.
