GoodHood Store from the UK did a really nice thing on their AW preview. Instead of taking photos of the upcoming stuff, they worked with an illustrator. A small but very nice little twist. I really like the way they play with the stereotype target groups in a really funny and beautiful way. Can you find yourself on the screens? I definitely did find myself on one or another! ;-)

Another nice season coming from Supreme NYC this fall. While I always seem to have a problem finding stuff when in store, the lookbook convinces me to keep looking. Besides the styling that really reminds me of some late 70′s early 80′s New York style, the collection itself is really nice too. I guess the caramel hooded jacket is my favorite this time.

Ok, normally it’s me who is hijacking Philipp’s stuff. But this time, it was different. On the last day when we were abroad, we did a so called “Pop Shopping”. Means, we go into a supermarket or drugstore and buy stuff that we don’t really need but looks really good.
This time in Stockholm I bought “Aussie 3 minute Miracle“. I saw it in so many swedish blogs so my choice was really easy. Back home in Hamburg I used it a few times. The strange point was that it started to get empty really fast.
One day I was wondering why Philipp smells like my Aussie Miracle. I said: “Hm that’s smells familiar to me.” He had a really bright smile and said: “I ordered a shampoo and a conditioner online. I felt in love Aussie!” ;)
He we go, our little Aussie familie. A nice product range that smells a bit too american to me but that is exactly the point that Philipp loves ;) And if the Aussie 3 minute Miracle is really a miracle? Maybe because Philipp is using a conditioner now….. That’s a real miracle to me! ;)…

While one part of my old company decided to take the commercial way, the other one invested in culture and built a platform in Berlin to realize projects allover the world. This time combining the projects Skateistan, Tinytoones and and Tinydrops in various events on different locations in Berlin during the Asia Pacific Weeks. Besides the main exhibitions, you will also get insights into the various local projects through movie screenings, workshops, skype conferences, fundraising events and ofcourse a lot of music. It’s Berlin Music Week too after all. Please check the schedule on the From Here To Fame Website or the facebook event for a detailed timing and further information.

We didn’t make it to all the shows we wanted to go to. It was way more important to see our friends and have a good time. It’s fun to be with them. Also it’s nice to just hang around and get influenced be the nice Swedish way of living.

I guess “Nhu-Duong’s” runway show was the most awaited one. She graduated 2008 at Beckmanns School of Design, started to do shows immediately, won a lot of design prizes and now lives in Berlin.
The most important reason why everyone was waiting for her show though was another one. She is the designer of “Elin Kling’s” brand nowmanifest.
I like the stuff of “Nhu-Duong” and it reminds me a bit of the 90′s. Those wide legs, the materials and the cuts. Next decade is on, welcome to the new late avant garde 90′s.

When it comes to catalogs, Urbn inc is doing it the best. With their catalogs for “Urban Outfitters“, “Freepeople” and “Anthropologie” they set a really high standard for different target groups.
I’m not the UO target group anymore ;) but I like the UO catalog the most. The new catalog shines especially with their interior part. I think their are doing it pretty well. When I’m in a UO store, what I love most, is the decoration of the store and the stuff that they sell.
The rest of the catalog this time though is a bit too grungy and too young for me. But still, I like the type of pictures that they are shooting.

I really like the new Stüssy campaign shot by Peter Sutherland. The collection and documentary photography style by Peter match really well. The only thing that is a big dislike in my opinion is the shopping cart picture. A shopping cart in the “desert”!? Even if it was even close to the city, shopping carts are really a no go and belong to cheesy retailers trying to be something they are not. ;-)

One of the bands which influenced me when I was younger was “Goldenen Zitronen” a german of punk band (kind of punk). When I was younger, there was the rumor they owned this really shady club called “Pudel Club” in Hamburg. So every wednesday I went there. One of the guys of “Tocotronic” was playing records there and it was a fun place to be. Also the guys of “Goldenen Zitronen” were hanging around in the club. The day after I was really tired at school but it was worth it.
That’s 15 years ago and I never tought I was going to see “Goldene Zitronen” live, but it happend at the Dockville Festival.
A bit sad that Rocko Schamoni wasn’t playing with them, but it was still great and energetic and as important as back in the days.
Sounds groupie like!? Yes, it was. ;) But there is nothing wrong about it and I’m proud that I was a groupie of such a great band.

Asos“. That’s the best thing that could happen to a brand. On my wishlist, you will find a lot of boyish british looks but also the total opisite with the wide leg high waiste jeans of MiH. I need to try one of those jeans on. I’m looking for a new jeans since a while.

As I came around the corner, one thing was for sure: Carin Wester was the designer with the best dressed crowd. A huge bunch of creatively dressed people were waiting in front of the tent. So I got really exited and the huge amount of people promised a great show. I didn’t get disappointed. Carin Wester had the best show that I saw in Stockholm. I loved the colors, fabrics and patterns in her women and men collection. Especialy the hats. Wow I need one! She also did some amazing shoes. After Minimarket was a bit disappointing, Carin Wester is really hooking me up.
