Philipp and I joined a group with Anjelica and Josie. The task was to shoot pictures with a specific theme and a model. Our group was to shoot “Indian meets Jeans” which was kind of nice.

We decided to show the diversity of styles while styling the model. From the beginning it was important to us that our model shouldn’t look like this usual sterotype of H&M. We wanted to be a bit more modern.

To me it is the bigger challenge to create something that doesn’t look like H&M but still being young and modern.

So we picked picked this jumpsuit and the jeansshirt from the Fall 2011 Collection. Both items aren’t that breath taking to me but in the combination they simply are amazing. There is just this little hint about the theme, which I really like.

It is not that obvious and modern at the same time. Of course we had the chance the pick feathers, necklaces and bracelets that would have fit perfectly. But we felt that we could be simpler and reduce the whole look a bit.

Hair & makeup was simple and nude, because it fits best for our model and the task.

So we shot some pictures which a professional and then we did pictures on our own.

To me it is more important to have a vision for what you do instead of the too perfect result. The spirit and idea of what you do need to shine through. Then a vision turns into fashion instead just being something to wear.
Sometimes perfection is easier than the idea of something,

This is our result and we hope you like it. We are all trying to be perfect instead of having a vision and work on it from that perspective instead of the technical aspect. Let’s change it!
