Searching for the perfect tea

On a day off I do like to test and try all kind of different teas from allover the world and now I have finally found a brand I might stick to a while. Kusmi Tea from Paris does not only have a beautifully designed packaging but also quality and tasty blends of tea. These are my first three flavors. Any tea tips you would like to share?

Ass Savers

I love my bike but I’ll have to admit that it can be a bit unpractical from time to time, especially when it’s raining or still wet on the floor. Then riding my single speed can be a pain in the ass and get you all soaked up. Still I like it minimalistic so putting on anything permanent is not an option. Apparently I am not the only one with that problem so some clever Swedes came up with the Ass-Saver. A small piece of plastic that you can fold and store in your saddle and apply only when needed. A great piece of invention. Check out the introduction video after the jump.

One day in L.A.

One day at work. I’m working as a creative director/photographer for a photo full service agency and we had a shooting in L.A. . It was cold as hell but we were totally happy with the results.

WESC x Smart

“Ding Dong.”
“Oh Postman.”
“Come in, PR packages are always welcome.”
We do not post everything that PR agencies send us but this one is worth it. We like if there is a content related story behind a theme. This one is a really positive example of Wesc x Smart collabo. It’s about a tuned Smart, the headphones and the city. I filled out a form without knowing what it was all about. A few days later I got this package. So, apparently I’m a Paris type of person and got all this Paris related stuff.
The best would be to send us to Paris as well! ;) To explore it by ourselves …. That would really round up the idea the most. ;)
ps. Not seen in the picture: Macaroons. They have already been eaten. Delicious!

Berlin impressions III

Tegel: It’s just a ten minute train ride from Prenzlauer Berg and once you pass the area between train-station and “stuck in the 80′s retiree coffee houses” just by the lake, you’ll find a nice wood for long walks with no people around at all. Wildschweine and Bambis included. PROST!

Take care

Ok, let’s face it. We are all not getting younger. After having tried eye cremes like “Clinque – All about eyes” and “MD Formulations Anti-aging eye complex“, I’m really happy with the “Biotherm – Skin Vivo Eye“. If you have any recommendations, let me know! ;)

Berlin impressions

We spent the weekend in our other home Berlin. And hell yeah, the weather sure was nice and we spent the whole saturday hanging out in the sun doing exactly nothing. Later on we visited Henrik Vibskov‘s book launch at Gestalten and had some delicious sandwiches in Mitte. Nice one!

Maiden Noir Spring Collection

Maiden Noir with another collection packed into a simple yet stylish lookbook. I really like the whole storytelling approach of the label, using medaphoric images to grip each project and providing a solid ground for each piece of the collection . If I could just get a hold of some of these pieces…

Air Max Rest In Peace

Well, the title might be a little over the top but there definitely is some truth in it. At least to me. The Air Max has been my favorite sneaker for years now & I have had dozens of different colorways of the Air Max 90 and One. During the last couple of years though, my personal interest in the model and Nike in general has decreased and shifted towards New Balance. With the Roshe Run the brand with the Swoosh has reactivated my attention. It is simple & plain and unbelievably comfortable to wear. My new favorite. Check the Interview with designer Dylan Raasch on howtomakeit.com for some special insights.

Odin Spring/Summer Lookbook

Odin presents a really nice lookbook this season. Not only brands need to work on building their brand-universe, retailers need to do so as well. Lookbooks work for both parts and it is good to see a lot of retailers taking that path. Without this lookbook I would have probably never heard of neither retailer nor some of the brands. The simple equation of social currency in fashion: Style and inspiration lead to affiliation. Give people something they truly care about and they will let their fellows know. Nice one!

Pass The Bucket with Henry Rollins

Another episode from Vans’ Offthewall.tv. This time with Henry Rollins speaking about the “Drop in the bucket” project. And believe me, this man has got something to say. If you do ever have the chance to see one of his show, go there! The following quotes wrap up what the short film is all about: “There is nothing for your Rock N Roll in Sudan”, “Peoples choices are live or die”, “When you’re in an environment where push comes to shove, it’s hard for people to be compassionate and friendly. They go into survival mode.” “Why give a major chunk of change to people half-way around the world? Well, that is the test to see how awesome you are to see beyond your next bag of groceries, to look at this world in this tremendous wide **** and say: Ok, in a way we have to look out for eachother.” “We define ourselves by these acts of great kindness.”
But look for yourself after the jump and visit the Drop in the Bucket Project Site.

Stockholm impressions part III

Sometimes it’s just nice to meet good friends and have some delicious fresh swedish kladdkaka (sticky chocolate cake) with creme and fruits. To us, Stockholm is more than just a nice and beautiful city. It still feels like home with quality time and an inspiring surrounding. It’s simply nice to be surrounded by people who share the same kind of vision and approach.
